In its simplest sense, the ‘house’ sustains its adventure, which started as ‘an owned place’ and ‘shelter’, through variations in meaning and function that sway between ‘personal space’ and the ‘public domain’. In this sense, it is possible to perceive, study and discuss the ‘house’ on the timeline between the point when the ‘cavern’ was the plainest form of the house and its present state where it has become a popular consumption commodity.
